The Nigerian Super Eagles goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali who received numerous accolades from Nigerians for his best performance in the match against South Africa expressed his love for the country saying that he loves South Africa as much as his fans love him.
Nwabali, who plays for South African Premier Soccer League, Chippa United,
expressed his love for South Africa in a statement on his Instagram account following Nigeria’s qualification for final of the 2023 TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.
He stressed the affection and passion he have for the Premier Soccer League, “Chippa United,” and his commitment to the team, He affirms his admiration for South Africa despite the atmosphere saturated with competition.
He wrote, “This is a game I’m born to play. A night to remember!!! I felt every bit of it!! Brick by brick and dreams are coming true. No love lost at all. I still love South Africa as much as their fans loves me. My name is Nwabali Stanley Bobo and I love this team with all my heart. Safe hands”
Stanley Nwabali has been Chippa United’s first-choice goalkeeper in the Premier Soccer League, and prior to the Africa Cup of Nations, he had played 15 top-tier matches for his club.
