Popular Nollywood actress, Gbemi Anjola has died.
Gbemi was announced dead on Friday, March, 24th 2023 after a prolonged battle with ovarian cancer.
The 33-year-old was diagnosed with the ailment in 2021. As a result, she traveled to Dubai, UAE, for chemotherapy, which lasted approximately 6 months.
She returned to Nigeria cancer-free after receiving medical treatment in Dubai, but on Friday, March 25, 2023, Gbemi Anjola complained of memory loss and a headache and was rushed to the hospital.
She was later pronounced dead by the doctors on duty.
The news of her tragic demise was shared by colleagues Itele and Zainab Balogun, who mourned her on their Instagram pages.
Meanwhile, other Nollywood stars, including Nkechi Blessing, Kunle Afod, and Biodun Okeowo, have also expressed their condolences in the comment section.
