PlughuzMedia considers it a word for up coming music artists as Odumodublvck speaks about his music stating that “having cultural impact gives the tune more value.”
Via a tweet on Sunday, the popular Nigerian rapper and pioneer of Okporoko rhymes disclosed how a certain Joey Akan describes his music as “cultural currency” – a description which he says is “Correct.”
“JOEY AKAN SAY NA CULTURAL CURRENCY. CORRECT” he wrote in part.
However, PlughuzMedia understands that the rapper’s write-up points to the recent arrival of his football idol, ‘Declan Rice,’ into Arsenal FC.
Odumodublvck had titled one of his earlier releases after the football professional, Declan Rice as a sign of homage since he couldn’t make a name for himself in his supposedly failed football career.
“THATS HOW I LIKE WRITING MY MUSIC. SUCH THAT WHEN YOU LISTEN YOU CAN TIE IT TO SOMETHING AROUND YOU.
“HAVING CULTURAL IMPACT GIVES THE TUNE MORE VALUE CAUSE ITS EASIER TO CONNECT WITH.
“WHEN THE LEAGUE STARTS EVERY TIME ARSENAL PLAYS ON TV, ALOT OF THEIR FANS WILL SEE DECLAN AND THEY WILL THINK OF ODUMODUBLVCK.
“AND THIS WILL HAPPEN FOR 38 WEEKS.
“NOW IMAGINE HE COMES IN A PICANTO.
“LET THE MUSIC BE ACCESSIBLE IN TERMS OF CONNECTION.
“LET IT BE A SCENARIO WHEREBY, EVEN WITHOUT THE MUSIC PLAYING YOU CAN REMEMBER THE ARTIST,
“IT REALLY HELPS.” He continued.
