The Guinness World Record (GWR) has confirmed the Cook-a-thon attempt by Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci, naming her the new record holder for the longest cooking by an individual.
Guinness World Records made the announcement on via a Tweet on Tuesday.
The organisation wrote, “After reviewing all the footage, we’re delighted to announce that Hilda Baci is the new record holder for the longest cooking marathon (individual).”
Hilda Baci, 26, began her Cook-a-thon attempt on Thursday 11 May and continued through to Monday 15 May, cooking over 100 pots of food during her four-day kitchen stint.
Hilda attempted to set a record of 100 hours, however, almost seven hours were deducted from her final total because she mistakenly took extra minutes for one of her rest breaks early on in the attempt.
Hilda Baci was announced the new record holder for cooking for a total of 93hours, 11minutes.
