A 17-year-old Philip Solomon has been declared the Guinness World Record holder for most skips on one foot in 30 seconds.
Guinness World Record declared this in a statement on its website saying the most skips in 30 seconds on one foot is 153.
This new record was set by a Nigerian student on January 24, 2023, in Akure, Nigeria.
The Guinness World Record holder in Ondo State broke the record of 145 skips previously set by Rasel Islam of Bangladesh.
Guinness World Record officially confirmed the record of the student of Oyemekun Grammar School on Tuesday, 25th May 2023, four months after his attempt.
“Solomon was inspired by the previous holder of this record title, Rasel Islam after seeing a video of his record attempt,” the Guinness World Record announced on its website.
“He has been training to achieve the record and was honoured to attend a skipping world championship.” Guinness wrote.
Recall that Nigeria has been in the limelight lately as Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci set a new Guinness World Record for the longest cook-a-thon.
The senior secondary school (SSS) three affirmed that he was inspired by the feat of Ezekiel earlier this year.
Nigeria’s rope-skipping Guinness World Records have now increased to two following Solomon’s latest achievement.
Solomon therefore joined his Ijapo High school, Akure counterpart, Gbenga Ezekiel, who was in February declared the world record holder for most skips on one leg in one minute with 265.
